Number collection

Numbers will be available for collection at Tideway Scullers School on the morning of the race. Given the early start on race day, the committee is also looking into a Friday-evening number collection. 

Substitutions

There will be a separate desk for substitutions at Tideway Scullers School. If you wish to make a substitution, you must go to this desk before collecting your number.

All substitutions must be accompanied by a valid racing licence. Substitutes must be a member of the club for which they wish to race: this must appear either on their racing licence, or on the online entry system. This will be checked online on the day. If a substitute does not appear as a member of the appropriate club on the British Rowing online system before the race starts, the crew will be designated Time Only. Please make sure that your potential substitutes have contacted British Rowing to register as a member of the appropriate club in advance of the race.

No status changes will be permitted. If a substitute makes a veteran crew ‘underage’ for their status in the draw, the crew will race Time Only.

Crews in the 2009 non-veteran events must have a minimum of four points in the appropriate discipline (sweep or sculling) on race day. Under-pointed crews will not be permitted to race.

Competitors in 2009 junior events must have been born between 1 September 1991 and 31 August 1993. No substitutes born after this time will be permitted to race.

After the race

Please return your Empacher number (intact!) to the desk at Tideway Scullers School to collect your crew’s £6 number deposit.

Some host clubs may collect in bow numbers and return them in bulk. The number deposits will be given to the person returning the numbers.

Empacher numbers may be returned by mail, but must arrive by the end of the week following the race for the deposit to be returned. If you wish to post your number back, please e-mail vetfourshead@googlemail.com for the address. Do not post numbers to Tideway Scullers School.

Race results will be available at Tideway Scullers School as soon as possible after the race, and will also be posted on the results and prizes page.

Medals – for the winners of categories with three or more entrants – will be posted out to winning crews.
